As per a report in the Times, fake news about the death of Malayalam Superstar, Mohanlal has been making rounds on the social media platforms falsely claiming that the superstar has contracted coronavirus.
Rumours went to the extent of stating that Mohanlal passed away with Corona infection. Someone made a video about this and the rumours came to the notice of the Kerala Police department which is presently investigating the matter.
The person, one Sameer who created the false rumour in the form of a video is identified and police are going to decide further action on such false news spread by him. Mohanlal’s fans are happy that the piece of rumour is fake.
It’s not only the video on the Malayalam superstar but also scores of fake videos spreading rumours on fake corona deaths and COVID-19 positive cases allegedly using the name of celebs are in plenty on TikTok, WhatsApp etc.
It’s better not to fall for such false news and we must rely only on authentic sources for information. Lets’ exercise our sense of logic instead of falling for it. What say?
