Congress Party despite being the main opposition party in Telangana, is struggling in GHMC elections. All the surveys so far are predicting fourth or fifth place for the party in the election.
However Congress itself seem to be not serious of the election. While TDP deployed all its forces of AP too in the campaign, Congress barely did anything. The party did not even deploy Chiranjeevi who may have influenced settlers to some extent.
Strangely, no AP Congress leader was pressed to campaign. Interestingly, Congress had fielded 149 candidates in the election but did not campaign in the elections in most divisions indicating it left hopes.
