The ministry of Information and Broadcasting had decided to make complete changes in the censor certification process which is becoming controversial day by day. The Central Board of Film Certification came under severe criticism for several controversial decisions. The latest being stalling of ‘the dirty picture’ telecast on TV channel.
Up on a question in Lok Sabha, Union Information and Broadcasting minister, Mr.Jagadhrakshakan had announced that the Central Government is going to make changes in the rating system in Censor certification of the films. He said instead of rating the movies as U/A (suitable for viewing under parental guidance), the government has decided to rate the movies like 12+ , 15+ according to the ages which the movie is suitable to be viewed.
Government will consider the the rights of citizen along with protecting Children from obscence content while framing the new regulations. The government is also planning to make changes in the cinematography regulations also.
