Not that competition was an issue ever for star heroes locking festival release dates, but for a brief period, it looked like that way. However, since the phenomenal success of Karthi’s Khaidi, his elder brother Suriya is once again taking the old approach.
If the reports are to be believed, Suriya is all set to lock horns with Vijay (or another biggie), not once but twice. As many might be aware, Suriya’s immediate next release Soorarai Pottru is looking at Tamil New Year arrival. It will be clashing with the much anticipated Vijay starrer Master.
And now, Suriya has locked another movie for Diwali later in the year. Suriya’s next is with mass director Hari. The combo which has in the past came up with the lovable Singam series are joining hands for brand new ‘mass-entertainer’. It has been titled Aruvaa and will be arriving for Diwali 2020.
As of now, Vijay’s next has not locked release date, but if it commences shoot immediately, there are high chances of it coming for Diwali. There is also Ajith’s next in the fray. In short, Aruvaa will be clashing with a biggie. They say fortune favours the brave, let’s see if that happens in the case of Suriya who is struggling for a blockbuster comeback post a spate of disappointments.
