‘Yes, I Rejected Srinu Vaitla’

Jaya-Prakash Reddy Rejected Srinu VaitlaCharacter artist Jaya Prakash Reddy is popular for his typical kind of villainous roles as a factionist from Rayalseema region and also for some rib tickling comedy roles. Do you know that once he rejected Srinu Vaitla’s offer for a big star hero’s film? Why?

In a recent interview, the veteran opened up about how he was being offered one-day offers back to back by director Srinu Vaitla after doing a full-length villainous role in the director’s debut movie ‘Nee Kosam’. So, he rejected a one-day role and asked for a substantial role that would travel throughout which he got in ‘Dhee’.

The senior actor has one unfulfilled role. He likes to play a full-on emotional role like the head of a family and had even asked many directors to give such characters. He reminisced that he did one such role in Krishna Vamsi‘s film ‘Mahatma’. No doubt, he is a versatile artist and can carry any kind of role. Are you listening, filmmakers?
