The director of critically acclaimed blockbuster ‘Thani Oruvan’, Mohan Raja is said to have walked out of ‘Andhadhun’ remake because he is going to do a movie for a mega hero. Now, the buzz has got it that Mohan Raja is going to handle the remake of Malayalam movie ‘Lucifer‘ for megastar Chiranjeevi.
Mohan Raja has the history of making officially approved remakes and there was never a case of plagiarism. He was the director of four official remakes of Telugu blockbusters in Tamil aka remakes of ‘Jayam’, ‘Bommarillu’, Nuvvosthanante Nenoddhantana’ and ‘Kick’.
He has this clean image of not resorting to plagiarism and his Tamil direct blockbuster ‘Thani Oruvan’ was remade in Telugu as ‘Dhruva’ with Ram Charan playing the lead but the Telugu remake directed by Surender Reddy.
Though it’s not official yet, Mohan Raja being on board for ‘Lucifer’ remake in Telugu with megastar Chiranjeevi is a good sign as we can see Mohan Raja’s remakes in Tamil were equally successful as he is known for not spoiling the flavour of the original movies.
