One of Prabhas‘ upcoming movies with director Nag Ashwin bankrolled by the Vyjayanthi Movies banner is in the pre-production stage and the director confirmed in the latest print interview that the team is going to begin the shooting from June-July onwards.
Talking about the movie’s sci-fi backdrop, Nag Ashwin made it clear that though his story ‘X-Life’ about virtual reality in the recent Netflix anthology ‘Pitta Kathalu‘ and Prabhas’ upcoming movie with him belong to the same genre, i.e., sci-fi, they aren’t the same.
To be frank, ‘X-Life’ didn’t receive much adulation as expected and it went unnoticed by the majority of the OTT viewers because of ‘Drishyam 2’ and also because it was on Netflix, the digital platform not as popular as Amazon Prime among common OTT subscribers because of the high subscription pricing.
Moreover, whatever reviews that ‘Pita Kathalu’ got weren’t positive. So, it’s good to know that Nag Ashwin’s movie with Prabhas and ‘X-Life’ aren’t related. Veteran filmmaker Singeetham Srinivas is on board for Prabhas’ movie to help Nag Ashwin as a mentor for the sci-fi thriller.
