Chiranjeevi Minister

K Chiranjeevi, the Union Minister for Tourism will be going to Spain for an official trip from January 29 to the 3rd of February. On his visit, he will inaugurate India Tourism Pavilion in FITUR and discuss about cooperation in the tourism sector with Jose Manuel Soria Lopez, the Spanish Tourism Minister.

An MoU was signed by India with Spain in the field of tourism in the year 2009, which offers a system for support in several tourism related areas. In addition to that, India is surveying the possibility of hosting 1st Joint working group meeting on tourism cooperation between India and Spain at an equally satisfying date and location.

India and Spain are looked upon as cultural destinations and both the nations attempt to extend similar approaches to face the rising challenges in tourism zone. Chiranjeevi will also be meeting the President of Catalonia province, Artur Mas and the Secretary General of UNWTO, Taleb Rifai on the visit.
