A few days ago, multiple media portals publicised that renowned Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha was approached for the female lead role in Chiranjeevi’s upcoming project, which will be helmed by Bobby. It was speculated that Sonakshi principally agreed to come on-board for the project. Now, it is heard that the makers of the Chiranjeevi starrer have initiated talks with another veteran Bollywood actor, Nawazuddin Siddiqui for a pivotal role in the film.
All these recent developments clearly imply that the makers of Chiranjeevi-Bobby project are trying their level best to attain Pan-India image to the as-yet-untitled film. Roping in noted Bollywood actors is a time-tested formula to procure pan-India appeal to any South Indian film and it appears to be that the makers of Chiranjeevi’s next project are treading a similar path.
If Sonakshi Sinha and Nawazuddin Siddiqui do come on-board for Chiranjeevi-Bobby project, its canvas would most certainly increase multifold. That said, nothing is consolidated for now and further developments in this regard will determine the scale of the project, as a whole. All said and done, it will take Chiranjeevi well over 7-8 months to take the Bobby directorial onto the floors as he will have to complete Lucifer remake before moving onto future commitments. Will the speculations about this project turn out to be true, or is the whole development a classic case of media’s wishful thinking? Only time will tell.
