Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy celebrates his Birthday today. Megastar Chiranjeevi, King Nagarjuna, and Superstar Mahesh Babu have wished the Chief Minister on Twitter. These niceties of the stars are evoking mixed reactions on social media.
While no one has any objection for the stars to maintain relations with the CM, the question is who will bell the cat regarding industry issues. The Government is trying its level best to torment the industry.
As if the pandemic woes are not enough, the Government induced troubles have become big problems for the industry. Even a comprehensive hit film like Akhanda is struggling to break even in some areas of AP. The revenues of Pushpa in Andhra Pradesh are giving sleepless nights to Sankranthi Biggies.
The worst part is that the industry biggies are not able to even get the appointment of the Chief Minister. Chiranjeevi who tried to occupy the position of Industry Pedda Dhikku backed out of the negotiations table after he found Jagan reluctant even to give an appointment.
Nagarjuna also wished Jagan. A few days ago, the actor met Jagan and told the media – “We are well-wishers. It’s been a long time since we met. There is no other prominence”. He always tried to stay aloof from the issue.
Given the relationship between Mahesh’s family and the YS family, Mahesh’s wishes to Jagan do not come as a surprise. The film fans could not digest the niceties of Mahesh Babu. “Their personal relations are fine. But what about the industry? Did Mahesh at least make an attempt to talk to Jagan? He is also a part of the industry, he should realize,” people are criticizing.
Fans are offended with stars trying to be in the nice books of the Chief Minister despite the ordeals the industry is facing. Not getting into right and wrong of the issue. The question remains if the stars come forward to mend the problem.
