Chiranjeevi May Be The Only Star Not Affected by Corona? On the first day of major relaxations in the Lockdown, India has registered 3,900 Coronavirus cases and 195 deaths in the last 24 hours, the largest spike till now in both. This definitely indicates that the contagious virus is here to stay. Telugu Film Industry is worried about what is in store for the future with no shootings and theaters closed.

Let us consider the case of Megastar Chiranjeevi. The actor’s next, Acharya was supposed to release on August 14th as Independence Day Special but it is going to miss the date. Acharya has just completed 40% of its shoot so far. The team now needs Ram Charan’s dates as well and that will be dependent on RRR dates as well which will complicate things.

Even after all this, Chiranjeevi will actually be at an advantage if RRR clears the way for Sankranthi release. Whatever is lost due in the interests of the film will be nullified by the Sankranthi advantage. Probably, Chiranjeevi may be the only hero who will still benefit due to the Corona Crisis.

However, Director of Acharya, Koratala Siva will be a disappointed man since it means more delay. His last film, Bharat Ane Nenu released on 20 April 2018. It will be Two years nine months delay by the time of Acharya’s Release. This is a massive break considering the form he is in.
