Chiranjeevi Justifies Acharya Ticket Prices HikeThe pre release press meet event of Acharya was held at a star hotel in Hyderabad a short while back. The event was attended by Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Pooja Hegde, and Koratala Siva. Chiru was mostly in a jovial mood while interacting with the media.

But Chiru appeared to be a tad angry when he was asked what was the need to hike the ticket prices for Acharya. Koratala Siva tried to answer the question on Chiranjeevi’s behalf but the latter took it upon himself to justify the ticket price hikes.

“All we are doing is requesting the audience to pay a bit more for the entertainment we are offering them. The film industry took a bad beating due to the Covid pandemic and we are need of financial support. There is nothing wrong in requesting the governments to permit ticket price hikes. We are the highest tax paying industry – 42%. So the request to get a bit of it back by asking for enhanced ticket prices is justified,” Chiru stated. He ended the statement on a slightly agitated note.

Acharya is now gearing up for release on 29 April. The film got Rs 50 ticket price hike permission for first one week in Telangana and first 10 days in AP.
