Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) Vice-President Devineni Nehru calls Megastar Chiranjeevi as the party’s secret weapon. There were rumours in political circles that Chiranjeevi was upset with the party leadership and is going away from the party. Devineni however refutes these rumours and said that Chiranjeevi is indeed Congress’ secret weapon.
“Chiranjeevi is like a boost for the party. We have asked him to concentrate on his 150th film so that his star power is rejuvenated again. We will use his doubled star power before the next elections. Until then he will be only attending important party events”, Devineni Nehru said.
Chiranjeevi was the chief election campaigner of Congress in the last elections. He led the party to a disastrous Zero seats and that is from being a ruling party in the previous elections. The bifurcation crimes came back haunting the party and many believe it will continue to haunt for the next few decades.
