Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya is up for release on the 13th of January. Much ahead of the release, Chiru threw a lavish party to the core cast and crew, implying he is confident about the film and intends to celebrate already.
But there are a few pointers here. Back in the day, Chiru’s judgment was impeccable and used to carry a lot of value.
But of late, the credibility factor had been blowing hot and cold. Chiru greatly hyped up Acharya and GodFather. But in terms of box office returns, the former was a disaster and the latter couldn’t rake up the moolah despite the decent word of mouth.
Cut to now, Chiru has thrown a party for the Veerayya unit and Mega fans have already come to the conclusion that Chiru is mighty pleased with the output and hence the party.
The big question here is, did the Waltair Veerayya team really live up to the expectations? Will they deliver Chiru the much elusive success that he’d been waiting for?
The situation is very instrumental here as well. Veerayya comes at a time when Chiru has to live up to the Megastar tag as another good WOM-bad box office performance film will certainly dent his image. And more so, while he is directly locking horns with his fierce counterpart Nandamuri Balakrishna who is coming with mass actioner Veera Simha Reddy.
