Megastar Chiranjeevi is arranging a meeting of producers and directors of the Telugu film industry at his office in Hyderabad. They will discuss a possible roadmap to resume the operations and will submit a memorandum to the Telangana Government.
Chiranjeevi and few other biggies are likely to meet CM K Chandrasekhara Rao and request him to allow the shootings. The industry is hoping to resume shootings in June or July to bring the economy back. They will list out all the safety measures that will be followed during the shoots.
Only a limited cast and crew will be present in the shooting locations. The industry folks will also discuss a possible re-opening of the theaters with the Chief Minister. The industry is in the worst possible shape and the losses are huge. Even though the stars chipped in some funds, several film workers and daily wagers are undergoing severe ordeals during this Lockdown.
Big-budgeted movies like Rajamouli’s RRR, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya, Prabhas’s 20th film, and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa need to commence their shootings. There are several films that are ready to release but are waiting in cans for the government’s nod.
