Going into the story, the makers of Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya asked for Rs 75 hikes for these films.
It was initially heard that the AP government would permit Rs 45 hike. The math and calculations behind the same remained a mystery though.
And the end result is more amusing. At last, in the last minute, the government of AP permitted a merger Rs 25 hike for Waltair Veerayya and Ra 20 for Veera Simha Reddy.
Sankranthi is often a lucrative season for Tollywood and this time, senior heroes Chiru and Balayya hoped for help from AP government but that wasn’t to be. After a whole lot of deliberation and delay, the Jagan government permitted Rs 25, 20 hikes.
