acharya-movie storyKoratala Siva’s Acharya starring Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan has been in the news for a long time. The film was supposed to hit screens last year, but due to pandemic it kept on getting delayed and as of now, the makers have stuck to February 4, 2022.

The makers haven’t disclosed the Acharya plot, but it is said to be based on the temple scam happening in the Endowments Department. Many theories keep coming in on the storyline and for the last few days, social media is abuzz speculating that Acharya is based on a book.

It is learnt that Acharya is based on the book Subbarao Panigraha. Getting into the details, Subbarao hailed from Orissa but settled in Srikakulam where he worked as a temple purohit. The concerned purohit was very against the irregularities being operated under the temple system by the zamindars.

To fight against them, two naxalites came in support of Subbarao. The said naxalites worked as teachers in the village and used it as a tool to make the villagers aware of the wrongdoings happening in the temple. Acharya sees Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan as naxalite-turned-social reformers. Strong buzz has it that Koratala Siva took his inspiration from the book and made suitable changes for Acharya.
