Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya is set for release on the 13th of January, marking the auspicious Sankranthi season. As the film heads for release, the promotional campaign is underway.
The unit is contemplating the idea of holding the pre-release event in either Vizag, Warangal, or Guntur. Acharya event was held in Hyderabad and GodFather event was in Anantapur. So, there’s the idea to cover Uttharandhra with Veerayya event in Vizag. There’s the input from the director Bobby who is inclined towards Guntur, his home district. So, there’s some discussion on the location. But Vizag looks likely.
We are now hearing that the makers of Waltair Veerayya have an interesting plan in mind. They are considering the idea of arranging a special train from Hyderabad to Vizag as a part of Waltair Veerayya’s promotional events ahead of the pre-release event.
The idea is to allot 3 bogies each to print, electronic and web media, and remaining to fans. Chiru could be interacting with the media and giving interviews as the train heads to Vizag. And he could also be interacting with fans. This would mean he will spend 12 hours with the media and fans on this special train.
This is a pretty elaborate plan. Something similar happened with the wildly popular Andhrawala event as well. But the key difference here is that Chiru himself will be on the train. If this special train idea is implemented, it will not just boost the hype on the event but also get coverage for the entire film.
