COVID-19 disrupted almost everything and in the process of getting back to normalcy, China is going to reopen its theatres in only low-risk areas and of course, there would stringent safety precautions taken for each show.
Limited shows and strict sanitation measures clearly tell that the situation in China is also quite grim though the official figures show the contrary. Have they really defeated COVID-19 and if so, why so much caution with regarding to opening up the theatres on 20th July?
If this is the case with China, what about us and our theatres? Is there any remote possibility of opening our theatres in 2021? The number of positive cases has been growing day by day and we know how it would be opening theatres in a populated country like India.
There are no high-risk or low-risk areas in our country as there is so much unpredictability around. But, let’s wait and see how things pan out in China after six months.
