Reports from Chennai reveal that the film is based on a real life incident which happened in Andhra Pradesh during the time of late Shri N T Rama Rao who was the chief minister then.
During one of the important chaotic situations, reports suggest that Chennai police were called upon by the government to handle one particular case and the film is based on this particular incident.
This is perhaps the reason also as to why the film was mostly canned in Vizag and other interiors of Andhra. Directed by Hari, Singam 3 is the third installment in the famous Singham franchise.
