Chellam Sir Happened Accidentally

Chellam Sir Happened AccidentallyThe Chellam Sir character in The Family Man 2 has barely got 15 minutes of screen space but it is one of the most popular characters in the web series. Chellam Sir has become so popular in social media that we are flooded with countless memes every day on a wide variety of topics.

Uday Mahesh who is the man who played the character is also a filmmaker who directed two films. In an interview, Uday Mahesh revealed that he was first approached for Deepan’s role (the second big man of the Eelam). After the audition, the filmmakers did not get back to Uday Mahesh for two months.

The actor thought they might have gone for some other actor. But they called him back and offered the role of ‘Chellam Sir’. And that would have turned out to be the best reason for the web series. The Family Man 2 lived up to the hype of the first season.

Samantha who played a major character as Raji in the second season rocked the show. There are reports that another OTT major, Netflix approached her for another multi-lingual web series.
