Before the release of ‘Jyothilakshmi’, Charmee attended the audio launch event of ‘Mantra 2’. Surprisingly the actress was found speaking against the film. She said that the makers are responsible if the film doesn’t work. She complained that she didn’t want the makers to use ‘Mantra 2’ for the title.
But the producers went ahead and retained the title of her super hit movie assuring her the story would do justice to the title. Later Charmee became busy with her maiden production venture ‘Jyothilakshmi’ promotions. It’s learnt that she asked the producers of ‘Mantra 2’ to postpone the movie for the sake of ‘Jyothilakshmi’.
Later, Charmee went totally missing out of ‘Mantra 2’ promotions. The film came and went away without much talk on it. Post ‘Jyothilakshmi’, Charmee didn’t associate herself with the horror sequel at any stage. Naturally the producers are disappointed with her.
