Reports are emerging that Suresh Productions has dropped the decision to release Narappa on Amazon Prime Video. Rumors suggest that this decision has been taken after the pressure from fans and with theaters opening in Andhra Pradesh as well.
There is no update regarding what happens with Drushyam 2 and Virata Parvam which are also earmarked for OTT release. Many believe Drushyam 2 is best suited for OTT release with the apprehensions about families not turning to theaters any sooner.
The Telugu film industry is looking at a possible restart this month-end or early next month. Narappa is the official Telugu remake of Tamil classic blockbuster, Asuran starring Dhanush. It will have Venkatesh seen in a mass character. It’s been a while since the actor appeared in such a character and so, the fans want to watch it on the big screen at any cost.
Srikanth Addala who previously made Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu with the star is directing the film.
