Chalo-Expectations-Advantage-Or-disadvantage-For-'At-Nartanasala'Actor Naga Shaurya scored the biggest success of his career with Chalo that released earlier in the year. It was a much-needed blockbuster that brought him back in the reckoning after some gap. Kanam followed it, but that hardly registered on his name. At Nartanasala is in the real sense seen as his new release following Chalo.

As one can observe from the moment the promotions of At Nartanasala began, it has been compared with Chalo. Even the makers themselves promise it to be a funnier film that Chalo. Is this comparison going to be an advantage or disadvantage for At Nartanasala?

Let’s take the case of the music of At Nartanasala. It is decent without any doubt. The song Egirene Manasu is beautiful and so are few other songs. On its own, they deserve to be heard and appreciated. But, when the comparison comes with Chalo or when we hear these songs with Chalo expectation in mind, suddenly they feel weak. Well, Egirene Mansu is fine, but it is not sensational like Choosi Choodangane, and that’s what the high expectation can do, make the decent effort look disappointing.

If that was the case with music, imagine how it will be with the movie? Reminding one of a blockbuster film is fine, but promoting by claiming it to be better than an already successful film may hamper the newer movies prospects. We hope that is not the case with At Nartanasala and it delivers big and further increases the range of Naga Shaurya as a star.

At Nartanasala has completed its Censor formalities and got a U/A certificate. Srinivasa Chakravarthy debut as a director with the movie that is going to hit screens on August 30th.
