TheatersIt is already known to our readers that the Central Government has allowed the Cinema Halls from October 15th with 50% Occupancy. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting had released the SOPs that are to be followed by the Cinemas when they open. Here is the list of the SOPs:

1. Occupancy should not be more than 50%. Physical Distancing to be followed. Seats ‘Not to Be Occupied’ shall be marked as such. Staggered show timings will be followed for different screens.

2. Only packaged food and beverages to be allowed, no delivery inside. Multiple sale counters for food and beverages. Digital modes of payment will be encouraged.

3. There will be adequate provision for hand wash and hand sanitizers at the halls and multiplexes.

4. The box office and other areas should be regularly cleaned and sanitized. A sufficient number of counters at the box office shall be opened and floor markers shall be used at the box office to maintain physical distancing while queuing.

5. Box Office should be open throughout the day and advance booking to be allowed to avoid crowding. Respiratory etiquettes to be strictly followed.

6. Measures for the safety of sanitization staff to be taken, such as adequate provisions for gloves, boots, masks, PPEs, etc. The contact numbers of viewers shall be taken for contact tracing. COVID-related stigmatization will be dealt with strictly.

7. Temperature of air conditioning should be in the range of 24 degrees Celsius to 30 degrees Celsius. Announcements regarding wearing masks, physical distancing, and hand hygiene to be made before and after screening and during intermission.
