CBI quizzes Telangana CM KCRA CBI Team quizzed Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in a case relating to the award of a contract when he was the Union Minister of Labour, Employment and Training in 2006. A special team quizzed KCR at his residence.

He was reportedly asked him why the proposal for allotting the contract to the National Building Construction Corporation (NBCC), a Central agency, was cancelled and awarded to the Executive Engineer of the A.P. Fisheries Department.

This contract was to construct ESI hospitals across the state. After the contract was awarded, the work was found to be sub-quality and ESI initiated a probe in 2007-08. CBI took up the case in 2011 where it was alleged that the construction had resulted in a loss of at least 5 Crore.
