Director Bobby is a die-hard fan of Megastar Chiranjeevi, and he has confessed this on many occasions. He has revealed that he loved watching Megastar in those mass roles like in Gang Leader, Mutha Mestri, and Rowdy Alludu.
Now he got a chance to direct Chiru in Waltair Veerayya, and it looks like he has left no stone unturned to bring back the Megastar of the 90s. In all the posters and songs, especially the title song, it can be seen that Bobby has tried to project Chiranjeevi as the Megastar from those 90s blockbusters, especially Gang Leader.
Gang Leader is one of the most memorable films in Chiranjeevi’s career. The film pleased not only his fans but also all kinds of audiences because of its strong story and powerful emotions.
So it would be a herculean task for Bobby to match the overall brilliance of ‘Gang Leader.’ In Waltair Veerayya, Bobby has showcased Chiranjeevi with a similar attitude and swag ala Gang Leader which is being loved by the fans, but will it have an equally powerful storyline and engaging screenplay? Only time will tell.
