Now-a-days, it is being taken as granted that the online view count of a film’s trailer is indicative of its hype at the box office. Thus the launch of the trailer has become a significant part of the promotion of the film.

A popular Telugu film critic has said that a film’s trailer along with the first song unit is about ninety percent of a filmmakers’s and together it has the capacity to take the film to a whole new level. According to him, a trailer alone is about seventy five percent of the film’s opening weight since it is essentially first visual of the film and sets the tone of the film as well as it is the imagery that sticks. Pawan Kalyan’s Attarintiki Daredi and NTR’s Ramayya Vasthavayya are the most recent examples and most watched Tollywood trailers online.
