A day after the poster of Jr NTR’s Komaram Bheem was out, social media was split into two warring sides. The fans of stars Jr NTR and Ram Charan went on an abusive spree hitting the trend nationally. What they don’t seem to realise is the damage they are doing to RRR. It makes one wonder if Rajamouli can control it?
Right from the day RRR was announced, a war of words was expected between the fans. After all, it brings together two of the biggest stars of the biggest families of Telugu cinema together. And unfortunately, their fans are always at loggerheads.
Therefore, balancing the expectations is a tightrope walk that only Rajamouli could handle since he is the one who initiated the combo in the first place. If not for him, the combo wouldn’t have been possible in another decade.
The character intro posters and teasers are bringing out the worse from each side. If it is like this for the promotional material itself, one shudders to think what it would be like when the actual movie arrives.
While the fans indulge in abuses with the choicest filthy language, it is RRR which faces the heat. Additionally, the Telugu cinema too gets a rap for its rabid fan culture that is now becoming a frequent nuisance nationwide.
The onus is all on SS Rajamouli, primarily, as he is the captain of the ship. But, how can he control the fans overenthusiasm is a million-dollar question.
RRR is still in the shooting stages, even though it is the final phase. It still requires some time from all of its stars. Under the current circumstances, an October 13th release looks ruled out. We have to wait for an official announcement regarding the same, though.
