That Naga Chaitanya would get the best openings of his career with Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam was a foregone conclusion based on the advance booking itself. All it needed was to sustain, and that too happened with the talk it has got. The opening day is approximately 3.5 Cr.
The real question now is can Naga Chaitanya get the movie to next level. Many films are releasing in the next few weeks, but none of them are bigger than Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam. Also, not all are family friendly movies. The real threat arrives on June 23 with DJ, and by that time RVC should be running the final lap. So, can Chaitu make these open weeks count?
Very recently, Naga Chaitanya failed to lift the movie to next level with the film Premam despite having released in the best season and good talk as well. It was said that bad movies done in the past had affected this movie. By the same logic, a good movie like Premam behind RVC should come to latter’s advantage. If despite that Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam fails to become a big success, it should be seen as a serious problem that Chaitu needs to look into immediately.
The second-day box office receipts are superb, and it is most likely going to be the case for the weekend as well. The real test will start from first Tuesday.
