Vijay Deverakonda and Puri Jagannadh’s Liger is set for release on the 25th of this month and the team has concluded a whirlwind promotional campaign across the country. While the film is registering good advances in the Telugu states, what is the case with the bookings in the Hindi belt?
Firstly, Liger is not releasing in Hindi on 25th August, but instead, it will release on 26th August. As things stand, the advances in the Hindi belt are low, as has been the case with many new releases in the Hindi belt of late.
Now, the big question is – Can Liger Opening Beat Pushpa in Hindi? Pushpa made Rs 3.33 crores on its opening day in the Hindi belt. It is hard to put a number on Liger’s Hindi openings as of now.
If Liger gets a unanimously positive response from the Telugu states on its opening day – 25th August, it can open on a good note in the Hindi belt on the 26th of August. The slow bookings scenario will change completely in Hindi if the word of mouth from Telugu is super positive.
As of now, it isn’t quite clear if Liger can beat Pushpa’s opening day collections. A lot will depend on the reviews and word of mouth the film garners if it is to go big in Hindi.
