SRK’s Chennai Express has taken a whopping opening at the box-office, beating even the previous best opening of Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger. The film has minted approximately INR 67.92 crores in two days at the box-office.
If it can rake in another INR 32 crore on Sunday, it will be first film in Indian cinema’s history to tough the magic number of 100 in the opening weekend. Trade insiders believe that the paid previews helped in the favour of the film.
The simple story of cross-cultural love story laced with lot of humour and action in Rohit Shetty style helped Chennai Express strike gold at the box-office.
