Does an Auto driver stand a chance to become an MLA? Majority of you answers will be a big NO. May be you are right too! Can an auto driver contest as an MLA? ‘No Political party would give him a ticket’ will be the popular answer. But Aam Admi Party proved it wrong. Auto driver Sridhar from Malakpet, a visually handicapped high court advocate Chandra Supriya from Malkajgiri and a young tribal activist Seedari Srinu from Paderu are in the list of Aam Admi Party candidates who will be contesting this elections.
There are several uncommon names in AAP’s list of 31 candidates from Telangana and 29 candidates from Seemandhra. A charatered Accountant is contesting from Yemiganur, a singer from Ibrahimpatnam are some of those.
