Rustic stories and settings are the trend, of late. Here’s another film that falls under this category – Butta Bomma. The trailer for the film debuted a short while ago.
The trailer starts with the introduction of Anikha’s character. She is seen as a village belle with pressure from her father to stay indoors. She later falls in love with an auto driver.
Then comes the twist as we see Arjun Das’s character trying everything to threaten and scare the couple. This track will be the USP of the film. This could also be the deciding twist in the narrative.
For rustic love dramas, fine performances from the cast, beautiful chemistry and soulful music are the key. Going by the trailer, Butta Bomma does appear to be ticking these boxes but it will all depend on the theatrical experience. If they all come together, then the chances are bright.
The film is directed by Shourie Chandrasekhar Ramesh and produced by Sithara Entertainments. The film is announced for release on the 4th of February.
