Nandamuri Balakrishna is witnessing one of the best phases of his career now. He tasted blockbuster success with Akhanda towards the end of 2021 and then came super hit OTT Talk show Unstoppable.
Now, Balakrishna set a new person-best opening record by a mile with Veera Simha Reddy which posted exceptionally good openings in every circuit.
Veera Simha Reddy might’ve slowed down later, but the film will still end up posting pretty decent revenues in the full run, despite the mixed reviews.
Until not so long ago, Balakrishna’s films were not known for posting decent revenues unless they opened to very good word of mouth. But that isn’t the case now with Veera Simha Reddy.
The tide changed with Akhanda, and now, Veera Simha Reddy will close on a good note in many areas. This clearly suggests a change in paradigm for Balayya. VSR’s numbers are coming as a surprise to box office analysts when compared to the results of such-category films of Balakrishna’s in the past.
The flop-streak in the past affected Balayya big time, but he is undoing it at a very good pace and all he needs is consecutive good films to regain the mojo.
