Sardaar Gabbar Singh created a new record in overseas just few days ago when it was sold for 11 Cr approximately in US. This was a new record beating the previous best 9 Cr created by Baahubali.
However, just after few days we have a new record holder in the form of Brahmotsavam. This Superstar Mahesh Babu film has been bought for approximately 13 Cr by Classic Entertainments. It makes the Sardaar Gabbar Singh record pretty short lived one.
What it also proves is the numero uno status of Superstar Mahesh Babu in overseas where he is able to create new record irrespective of the director and genre. On the other hand these same things come into play and the film is taken for lesser price in two Telugu states which shows us the difference in stardom locally.
