Filmmaker Boyapati Srinu says he was confident of the film’s success even before it went on floors. He admits it’s the confidence that helped him with the film’s success. Nandamuri Balakrishna-starrer “Legend”, which released Friday, has minted over Rs. 15 crore in the opening weekend worldwide.
Srinu said that when you work with certain actors you’re always confident about success and his relationship with Balakrishna worked on that level of confidence. He was confident of the film’s success even before it went on floors and when some said that he was was overconfident but he didn’t care about them.
Srinu said he had conceived “Legend” during the filming of “Simha”. He had this story in mind but he didn’t think of an actor to be featured in it. After the success of “Simha”, Balakrishna asked him to come up with another story and that’s when he narrated this story to him and he agreed to do it. It took him nearly three years to actually kick start the project.
