Telugu Industry is one of the very few industries making Mass Masala Entertainers which pumps adrenaline to top levels. There were numerous movies starting from Balayya’s Samara Simha Reddy, Nara Simha Naidu to latest Simha. Telugu audience are repeatedly patronizing such movies even though the movies focus less on stories or novel concepts. Earlier, B.Gopal had tried several of such movies and was successful. And Boyapati Srinu is his descendant carrying the trend.
He along with SS Rajamouli is one of the most successful directors in Tollywood. While, Rajamouli focus to attract masses through novelty in the stories, Boyapati depends on elevating Heroism to drive masses crazy. He explored the other angle in Ravi Teja in Bhadra and had shown a very different Venky in Thulasi. And his best work so far is Simha which brought a hit to Balakrishna’s career which was reeling under the pressure of constant flops.
He just focused on elevating the best in Balayya and delivered what is expected from a Balayya movie. That too in best proportions.And important thing to note is Boyapati never really enjoyed the benefit of unlimited budget as Rajamouli. He made Simha under a modest budget of 15 Crore and propelled it to the Top Ten Commercial hits of Tollywood.
And now, he is coming back with another High voltage entertainer with NTR. The Posters released so far looked very promising. If Boyapati creates his magic once again, the movie will surely create box office miracles!
