Bollywood’s big producer, late Sridevi’s husband Boney Kapoor seems to be terribly miffed with the makers of RRR and he calls their movie unethical. He has his film ‘Maidaan’ set for 15th October release for Dasara festival weekend.
RRR is announced to release on 13th October, that implies two days before ‘Maidaan’ comes to the theatres. This announcement didn’t go well with Boney Kapoor who is questioning the move of RRR team and alleging they could have discussed the release date.
Ironically, both the movies have Ajay Devgan and it’s going to be a clash between Ajay Devgan Vs Ajay Devgan, as well. Frustrated Boney Kapoor also asked, “Why do they need a holiday weekend release after the two Baahubali films?” He means to say that Rajamouli earned such fame that he doesn’t need an extended holiday weekend.
This sounds ridiculous. A movie like RRR that’s riding on a huge budget definitely needs humungous opening figures to meet the expectations. Ajay Devgan starrer ‘Maidaan’ is a sports-based film in which Ajay Devgan will be seen playing a football coach.
As per the different reports that surfaced in the media, looks like the release date isn’t the call of Rajamouli and even Ajay Devgan’s being the mediator between the two films couldn’t avert the clash.
