We are only into the second month of the new year, but already Bollywood and Tollywood have got the first big hits added to their accounts. The Tamil film industry, however, has not yet opened the account.
Telugu film industry is leading the success count with two hits and a super hit already in its kitty. There is also a dubbed success in addition to the direct ones. In Bollywood, there is Padmaavat, that is on the way to be a big blockbuster. It is most likely to enter the 300 Cr club as well.
Unfortunately, in Tamil, the search is still going on for the first clean hit. Suriya’s Thaanaa Serndha Koottam is the best performing film so far, but it isn’t big enough to be certified a hit. There are some exciting projects lined up ahead. Let’s see which movie emerges as the first real hit from Kollywood.
