Bollywood hero Farhan Akhtar and producer Ritesh Sidhwani have bought the Hindi rights of Chiranjeevi’s upcoming historical drama ‘Sye Raa’. While that seems to be a big thing to get excited about for megafans, it’s certainly a herculean task of convincing the Bollywood audiences.
‘Sye Raa’ was bought in Hindi because of the success of ‘Baahubali’ and KGF. Suddenly, Bollywood is looking for resources to grab in the South Film Industries and ‘Sye Raa’ being associated with the prestigious Konidela Production Company was a big attraction.
Nonetheless, things might be a bit complicated for the Hindi version of ‘Sye Raa’ as the regional flavour of the Telugu States would be quite explicit and the cultural differences would have to connect properly.
It isn’t an easy task to translate the dialogues into Hindi as the film will be certainly loaded with verbal extravaganza when it is a historical cum patriotic movie. Moreover, unlike Prabhas and KGF Yash, at this age, Chiru has to be convincing for the part he played.
Let’s wait and see if Chiru can pull out this feat, at this age. ‘Sye Raa’ Hindi rights definitely give a curious case to await.
