So, the makers chose to remove him and replace him with Rana. They had to reshoot all the portions they had shot with Nana Patekar. Rana was quite a game and joined the shoot of the film.

There were reports that claim that Akshay wanted Nana Patekar removed from the movie after the sexual harassment allegations came into focus.
