Bollywood Headache for Tollywood

Telangana Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav earlier this month hinted that the shootings may be allowed from the First Week of June. Tollywood Filmmakers are discussing a Roadmap to start the shootings and will place a proposal before the Government the next week.

The shooting will be first allowed to begin in Private Studios of Hyderabad following Social-Distancing measures and other norms. Several Filmmakers have already started booking the studios and at this juncture, they got a shock from their Bollywood Counterparts.

Mumbai, the headquarters of Bollywood is the hotbed of Corona cases with around 30,000 cases so far. Unless something drastic happens, there is no chance of shootings starting in Mumbai any sooner. So, Bollywood Filmmakers are trying to book studios in Hyderabad for their film shoots.

Telangana shares border with Maharashtra and is also easy for road travel in case the flights are not operational. So, they are interested in coming to Hyderabad. The prices of Studio Floors shot up due to the high demand. This has emerged as a new headache for the native filmmakers.
