Amazon Prime Video is raring to deliver a solid OTT blockbuster. And particularly so after Netflix scored a resounding global blockbuster with RRR. Cut to now, Amazon has two potential films in the pipeline.
As per the latest reports, Amazon Prime Video will be premiering Ponniyin Selvan and Kantara this November.
Ponniyin Selvan was a box office blockbuster in the Tamil market and overseas. The period action thriller has several stars like Karthi, Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, and others, so there is good face value.
As for Kantara, the low-budget Kannada film went on a rampage at the box office as the makers announced it grossed over Rs 200 crores at the global box office.
Both these films could impress the big screen audience, considering the box office numbers. Amazon would now be hoping that these box office blockbusters will now be able to emulate something similar as they premier on the platform this November. The official OTT release dates will be out soon.
