BJP-Dents-TRS's-Strongest-Support-Base---What-Went-WrongThe Postal Ballots Counting in GHMC Elections is completed and the result is surprising. BJP is cruising forward with around 90 seats which is humongous. It is not guaranteed that the same trend will stand in the walkin votes as well but this is a massive development. Postal Ballots are mostly availed by the Government employees who are on election duty.

This time the State Election Commission had also allowed Postal Ballots for COVID-19 patients and the people in the vulnerable group of the Pandemic. But officials say such votes are less and it is more of an verdict by the Government employees. So, this is an alarming trend for the Ruling TRS party.

Government Employees in Telangana are known to be very vigilant. They took a very active part in the Separate State movement. They were strong supporters of TRS party and so this trend could be disturbing. If BJP can channelize them in anti-Government movements going forward, it will be a big headache for the KCR Government.

So, Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhara Rao should sit and identify what went wrong with his strongest support base and do amends for that. The counting is expected to happen at a slow pace because of the usage of Postal Ballots. If BJP continues the trend in walkin votes as well, Telangana should brace up for a massive change in the Political Environment.
