Nowadays it seems like the new trend in Bollywood is to make movies about the lives of famous and controversial sports personalities. With movies like ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ and ‘Mary Kom’, based on the lives of athlete Milkha Singh and boxer Mary Kom respectively, in queue, well-known producer Ekta Kapoor doesn’t want to be left behind. Word is that the producer recently bought the rights to do a biopic on the life of controversial cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin.

Following her subsequent visits and discussions with the cricketer about it, a daily newspaper reported that Kapoor signed the contract for a biopic with Azharuddin a few days ago. Now the question is that who she will cast in the role of the famous cricketer. We hear that she has decided her preferences which include Ranbir Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Ranveer Singh however she hasn’t settled on one yet. According to us Saif Ali Khan’s personality is most suited for the role of Mohammad Azharuddin, what with his family background, however the film requires a young actor to play the role since it portrays Azhar in his early days.
