Former Team India Cricket Captain and BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has revealed that he has agreed for his life to be portrayed on the big screen as a Biopic project. Rumors are that Bollywood Star Hero Ranbir Kapoor will play the lead role.
“Yes, I have agreed to the biopic. It will be in Hindi but it is not possible to say the name of the director now. It will take a few more days for arranging everything,” Ganguly revealed speaking to a TV news channel. Rumors are that the biopic based on Dada’s life is going to be a Rs 200-250 cr project.
Sourav Ganguly is often credited for changing the face of Indian Cricket by encouraging young players and ensuring that they play aggressive cricket. Under his leadership, India also developed the habit of winning in Overseas conditions.
Sourav Ganguly is also one of the most successful captains of Team India. He is also a legendary batsman having close to 20,000 runs across the three formats of the game.
