Bigil,-Thalapathy-Vijay,-Nayanthara,-A.R-Rahman,--Atlee,The Bigil trailer starring Tamil Star Vijay is out. It marks the third time combination of Vijay with director Atlee after Theri, and Mersal. So, does the trailer live up to the hype?

Well, it’s a mixed bag. But the meter is more towards the positive side rather than the opposite. As one would expect, the trailer is all about Vijay doing what he does all the time, with ease. Only, the background in Bigil changes to sports.

Right through the trailer, which feels never-ending after a point, we get various shades Bigil contains. It also means we get the multiple inspirations Bigil has taken. The Chak De India one is so apparent.

The visuals are terrific minus the CGI boosted stadium shots. They look cartoony and entirely plastic in a few frames. Besides that, several bits suggest lots of fan-pleasing moments. The typical gestures, the dances, and the drama are all there. Amidst them, we also get a glimpse of the heroine. It is Nayanthara in case you missed it.

Atlee has delivered two very successful movies using Vijay’s mannerisms and persona. Will he be able to do it the third time mixing all these various elements needs to be seen?

Check out the trailer below. Bigil will also simultaneously release in Telugu as Whistle for the Diwali weekend. AR Rahman provides the music to this mass entertainer.
