Balakrishna’s ‘NTR Mahanayakudu‘ is getting ready for release but it’s not going to be smooth for the biopic on the life of legendary NTR. The movie is going to face the biggest hurdle at the US box-office by virtue of the performance of the first part ‘NTR Kathanayakudu’.
It was a Tuesday release for ‘NTR Kathanayakudu’ in the US when the audience had this ‘buy one get one deal’ and by now, everyone is aware of the significance of Tuesday deals in the US. Despite enjoying the benefits of the deals, the first part of the biopic has made $928K, a number that looks decent for Balakrishna’s market in the US but it turned out to be a debacle due to the high price paid for the rights in the US. So, the buyers were at loss.
However, Balakrishna dealt with the situation very well and assured the buyers to compensate them for their losses. Now, ‘NTR Mahanayakudu’ is coming on a ‘no deal’ day, i.e., on a Thursday. Actually, the second part would have commanded more attention due to its political content that would have more drama but for the talk and the outcome of the first part. It will be very interesting to see how the second part would sail through in the US. Of course, the best part is the low expectations.
