Prabhas’s Salaar is one crazy film. It is the most promising film in Prabhas’s line up, given that it marks the collaboration between Prabhas and the man behind KGF, Prashanth Neel.
But there is one big threat for Prabhas in Bollywood as he has locked 28 September, 2023 as the release date for Salaar.
Bollywood biggie, Fighter, featuring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone is also announced for release on the 28th of September, 2023.
Fighter is a mainstream Bollywood massy film with superstars like Hrithik and Deepika in the lead roles. Also, it is directed by Siddharth Anand, who previously directed blockbuster War with Hrithik. It is sure to get off to a strong start at the box office.
If Fighter sticks to 28 September release date, it would directly clash with Salaar. While Fighter is no match to Salaar in South India, it could be a box office monster in Hindi belt. Moreover, Prabhas’s Radhe Shyam was a debacle in Hindi.
He will have to make a comeback there with Salaar which also banks on KGF man, Prashanth. This film has mass appeal and with right word of mouth, it can go big as well.
Fighter sure is a big threat to Prabhas’s Salaar in Bollywood but it remains to be seen if this clash will actually happen or one of these films will back down.
